Our Growing Family

Jennie and I are happy to announce that we are having a baby!!! If you are on Facebook, this might be old news, but I finally have a few minutes seconds to catch up on the blog. We couldn’t be more excited!

We found out in mid-October that we were pregnant with Baby Neumann due to arrive June 2013. And let me tell you, it was super hard to not tell everyone immediately. How do you honestly respond when someone asks, “What’s new?”. Ummmm… “Nothing….” On top of that, I had to side step the questions about races next year. Let me be clear though, rumors of my retirement are 100% false and I still plan on racing next year. I just won’t be doing any big races are or traveling.

We haven’t had an ultrasound yet, but we were able to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. Way cool!!! At a 170bpm, I have a feeling that Jennie is growing a world class triathlete.

We still have lots to learn and lots of prep to do, but it is sure to be an exciting and fun time!

Woah, why doesn’t the baby get an equal sized sock as everyone else?!

Haha! I was wondering who would be the first one to point that out. I should have guessed. 😛

Don’t know if Baby Neumann is a boy or girl yet so no designing/buying the wrong one.

Isn’t yellow or green a “neutral” color?!?! Man, and I thought I was cheap 😉 LOL !!!

YAY! Lying to everyone was so hard. But the shock when you told people was great, wasn’t it? And hearing the heartbeat is way cool (zone 5 baby for both of us). Wait until you see it on an ultrasound. We have another next week and we literally can’t wait! 🙂

So incredibly excited for you both. We are going to have to have a bit get together for the families once all these babies are born. Augusta… I’m telling you it’s perfect! 🙂

Woohoo! Jenn and I are so excited for you guys! I was just thinking about Jennie today and hoping that she was feeling well. You guys are going to raise such a cool kid. I second what Colleen is saying about Augusta, although that is some traveling. Are you still doing MiTi? That’s a big race…

Congratulations! What happy news for you. Glad to hear you will still be racing next year, although it’s entirely believable that your schedule will slow down with a new baby.

congrats man! Pregnancy is a wild journey. Be supportive of her no matter what she throws at you!

    ** story:
when my sister in law was pregnant she threw a coffee table at her husband because he put pepper on her chicken when cooking her dinner and serving it to her in the living room. Plate on the coffee table, she picked up the coffee table and threw it at him when he walked back towards the kitchen. The moral of the story is that pregnant people are crazy and irrational, and don’t ever put pepper on her chicken.

It’s super lame that it took this long for me to comment on this post, but I’m so, so, so, so happy for you two.

A huge congratulations to both of you — that is one lucky kid to have you as parents.

Time to invest in a sweet jogging stroller? May I suggest the Chariot? My bro has it and it has ski and bike attachments. Huzzah!

    Hooray from the Blogger world!
