You Want to Sponsor Me??? Thank you SBRSports, Inc.!

I am happy to announce that I have locked down my first ever sponsor – SBRSports, Inc.  Now, I know what you are thinking. First sponsor? You’d think that after 4 seasons in this sport Cervelo, Zipp, TYR, and the like would be pounding on my door for my endorsement.  Sadly, that is not the case.  Apparently that sort of thing is reserved for the “professionals.”  So when a company like SBRSports, Inc. takes the time to recognize the day to day age groupers like myself, it really means a lot to me.

In case you have been living under a rock and have not yet heard of SBRSports, Inc., they are the company responsible for the TriSlide, TriSwim, and Foggle products.

TriSlide is by far my favorite product in the whole SBRSports Inc. package, but I love them all.  I love TriSlide for a variety of reasons. It is super easy to apply, is not messy at all, and simply because it works. Currently, I am primarily using TriSlide for biking because that is what I am doing the most of.  A quick spray on my inner legs/groin area and then on the edges of the chamois in my bike shorts results in a super comfortable, chafe-free ride.  I’ve used TriSlide on my underarms and nipples for running as well (nipple chafing is the worst).  We haven’t quite hit wetsuit season yet, but we are close.  (The nearby lake was recently measured at 56*F already!).  Once wetsuit season arrives, I’ll be using TriSlide as lubricant to help put on and take off my wetsuit so that I don’t have any more incidents like this.

Need a few more reasons why TriSlide is so great? Go read the comments on Carole’s post some “alternative” uses.

The TriSwim products include everything you need to clean up and de-chlorinate yourself after swimming.  I’ll be honest.  Before TriSwim, I was a simple bar of Irish Spring soap and whatever shampoo my wife bought sort of guy. Yeah, I constantly smelled like chlorine and had dried out skin and crunchy hair, but I was too lazy to do anything about it.  Now, I have more bath products than I ever thought I would have. The TriSwim products include a shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion.  I use the body wash and shampoo the most and it works great and getting the chlorine smell and feeling out of my hair and skin.  I have even found that the lotion makes for a great shaving lotion now that leg shaving season is upon us.

The final product in SBRSports Inc. package is Foggle – a goggle cleaner and defogger. These little wipes work great! Normally in the pool, I am a wiping off my goggles every 300 yards or so.  Not anymore. Cleaning my goggles with a Foggle wipe before each swim (you can use the wipes multiple times) gives me a solid 4000+ yards of fog-free swimming.

A huge thank you to SBRSports, Inc. for considering me and extending their offer to sponsor me.  I couldn’t be more thrilled.  I highly recommend their products and encourage you to go check them out here.

Disclaimer: These products were provided to me free of charge, but the thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

WOOHOO!! You’re sponsored! That’s pretty cool, buddy, and to be able to have the products that you already use and love. Man, Andy’s nips sure took a beating in that 5k. Ouch!!!

Am I seriously the only person in the freaking world that is not sponsored by them?! Damn! I mean, I get wrecked nips, blisters on my feet, wetsuit chaffage just like everyone else, and yet I am left out in the cold to suffer… so sad 🙁

Maybe H will share her stash?

OR, maybe they need one person in the world left to actually by their product? haha. Enjoy the stuff… H said some of the post swim hair stuff made her hair feel waxy?

Your lack of sponsorship is there to provide the rest of us with some comic relief. You serve a purpose. Don’t worry.

If you didn’t quit wasting H’s stash on “unadvertised” uses, maybe she would be more willing to share.

Haven’t really had the waxy feel with the hair products although I do have far less hair than H. I really don’t use the conditioner either because there isn’t that much hair to condition. I just get it chopped off when it gets too bad.

That is SO COOL! (and now a word from my sponsor….hee!)

On a more serious note, I’m super happy that this company is committed not just to the super elite professionals, but also to the real drivers of this sport…the age groupers! Because of the fact that they sponsored you, and because I highly value your opinion, I’ll be going to my local tri-shop (listed on SBRSports website as a retailer!) tonight and getting tri-swim and foggle (I can’t tell you how long I’ve been looking for something to get the fog out of my googles!).

I’ll let you know how I like the products after my master’s swimming session tonight!

Congrats again! That is so awesome!

Just remember that the Foggle wipes can be used more than once. Unfortunately the packaging isn’t very conducive to saving/reusing the wipe so I will put the wipe back in the wrapper and then the whole thing in a ziploc bag to keep it from drying out.

Sweet! I am loving the Trislide too. The only issue with it is not covering your entire body with it before a long race 😉

I’d like to see some testing of that done. Possible new campaign slogan: “TriSlide – now with negative drag” ????

The foggle actually works? Aside from spit I’ve never found anything that helps with fogging.

It works for the length of an entire pool swim as long as I don’t put my goggles on my head during a kickset. As long as I take the goggles off, I’m good. Haven’t had a chance to use them outdoors yet, but I am hoping for similar results.

Congratulations! That’s awesome!! I’ll have to try the foggle 🙂

I can’t wait to see the billboard with you rocking the bike, that what the semi-pros like you have to do now. Don’t let it disrupt your training.

I actually think the next step is for me to get LASIK from Dr. Rahmani. I trust my eyes to Dr Rahmani and you should too.

Love that stuff! Seriously the best chaffing protection in the world. And the shampoo – nothing beats it after the pool! 🙂
