My aunt found this picture in an old album and gave it to me at Christmas. I’m thinking of busting out the knee high socks for my BQ attempt at the Woodlands Marathon. What do you think?
About Me
My name is Kevin Neumann. In 2008, after 10 years of being a runner, I did my first triathlon and was totally hooked. Shortly thereafter, I set the goal of becoming an Ironman by the time I turned 30. On September 11th, 2011, at the age of 28, I accomplished my goal and became an Ironman at Ironman Wisconsin. Once wasn't enough (it never is) and continued on to complete Ironman Mont Tremblant in 2012. The journey continues...

Dude, I need those socks LOL!
Why are you all ghetto though and only have one pulled up “properly” haha?

“AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW LIL itty bitty kevy wevy!” —> Man Card revoked!
One sock pulled up was my gang signature. Pull up the wrong one and you were likely to get capped in the ass.

You actually still look the same! Break out those short shorts too. They make you at least 10 sec/minute faster. Proven by SCIENCE! Also, mistmatched colored laces is negative 10 sec/min, FYI.

I didn’t even notice the two color socks until everyone started to point them out. I’ll be sure that my socks match so I don’t lose time. If I bust out the shorts do I have to keep my shirt tucked in too? I’m not sure if that positively or negatively affects my aerodynamics.

Haha! Nice socks. P.S. Another Ironman? Now that’s just masochistic. One, I understand (obviously). But now you’re just making me look bad.

Although those socks are definitely sexy, who cares! You still took the blue ribbon first place prize! Nice work. You’re still kicking it like you did back in the day!

Lots going on in this pic!
Way to represent with the tube stocks. And why do you have different colored shoes laces on each foot? Are they even the same shoe?
I think that is an Astro MiniVan in the background — haven’t seen one of those in decades!
And who is the dude in the Amway singlet? It that dad? Because if so you need to find that singlet and rock the hell out of it because it is pretty awesome!
Can’t tell from the picture but I have the odds set at 2:1 that you had a tail growing off the back of your head!!

I didn’t even notice the two colored shoe laces until everyone started to point them out. haha. If I had to guess, they are probably LA Gear shoes. Do they even make those anymore??
We totally had an Astro mini van. That isn’t ours in the background, but I suffered through many a long car trips in one.
Yep, that is my dad. He used to work for Amway and was on their corporate team at the time. He did his share of marathons back in the 90′s. Maybe 8 or 9 of them? I used to bike along with him on his long runs back on my single speed kids bike with coaster brakes.
And HELL NO! there is no tail growing off the back of my head. My parents would have never gone for that. Straight up buzz cuts all the until about 4th grade when I was allowed to grow it out longer before switching back to the flat top (remember that hair cut?).

Forget the socks you need to rock the two different colored laces but get the shorter shorts and forget those jams.
