Clark: Bend over and I’ll show you.
Todd: You’ve got a lot of nerve talking to me like that Griswold.
Clark: I wasn’t talking to you.
And with that, I present to you the Neumann Family Christmas Tree. (drum roll please)
Following Lindsay @ Chasing the Kenyans lead and jumping on her Christmas Tree Meme bandwagon, I thought I would post a few pictures. Don’t worry, I won’t be jumping on her rap bandwagon. I’ll leave the kick ass rapping up to her.
We picked up the tree yesterday after we got home. Generally we forge out and chop down our own tree, but with limited time this year, we headed to the local high school booster lot. When we pulled up, we were surprised to find it unmanned with a sign, “All Trees Free”. Yippee! Free Tree! The picking was a pretty slim, but this little pudgy guy was calling out to us. As it is a Douglas Fir, he has been named Doug. He is very fat full and could afford to shed some inches but we love him nonetheless.
We spent the evening rigging up the lights and ornaments while enjoying some hot chocolate and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
Here are some of my favorite ornaments.
Ornaments that Jennie and I both made in Kindergarten.
One of many computer/geek ornaments I have been given over the years from my mom.
We have two of these, one for me and one for Jennie, from the 5k we did this year.
Another computer-related ornament
Each year, Jennie tries to find a cutesy (her word) couples ornament. The one on the left is two mice on a cupcake and is called “Sweethearts” and the one on the right is called “Beak to Beak”.
Our Hawaiian vacation ornament.
My ornament from the Honolulu Marathon
Another grade school art project.
I’m still working on the Hawaii posts, they’ll be coming shortly.

I have used a line from that movie in every FB status this month! I find ways to use those quotes in every day conversation 365 days a year!
I love you ornaments. I got one this year that says “All I want for Christmas is a new PR”

That is a pudgy tree alright! The best part is the price! You wouldn’t believe what trees cost in NYC. We used to cut ours down as a kid for $5! Nice ornaments! I like the macaroni Star of David on the Christmas tree, nice touch
I posted our tree on FB last week.
