Early Christmas Presents!

I got two packages in the mail yesterday.  One expected and one unexpected.  The first was the book I won on Jon’s blog give away.  This book in full of information; almost overwhelmingly so.  However, nutrition is something that I could always know more about.  I am generally a healthy eater (minimal fast food, lots of fruits and veggies, etc.), but sometimes I get into the mindset that I can eat whatever I want as long as I keep running.  This should help me develop better eating habits during my training.  Thanks Jon!

The second package of the day came from a friend from Leelanau, MI. They are actually the family we bought our house from and have kept in touch since.  I helped them with some computer work earlier this week and they sent this as a thank you.  It is a bike jersey for their coffee house in Lake Leelanau, MI, Pedaling Beans Coffee House.  If you are ever in the area, stop by, I highly recommend it.  Thanks K!

The Leland/Leelanau area of Michigan (hold up your left hand and point to where your pinky and ring finger meet and that is the Leland/Leelanau area) is great for some serious biking.  Lots of big hills to give you a good workout. (check out the course map and elevation chart from the Tour de Leelanau).

That book looks interesting, I’ll have to check it out. I worked very hard on nutrition with my coach last year but still have a long way to go!
